Errin Howard is the Executive Director of We Work the Waterways, an independent nonprofit dedicated to connecting students, educators, and communities with the maritime shipping and logistics industry. Through hands-on engagement and meaningful partnerships, she leads the organization’s efforts to build awareness, inspire careers, and celebrate the people who keep America’s waterways moving.

Errin’s journey in the industry began in 2006, when she took on an educational role at Tall Stacks to share the story of America’s inland waterways. That spark of inspiration led to a lifelong commitment to maritime advocacy, workforce development, and public education.

Based in Cincinnati, Errin has served on the board of directors for the Central Ohio River Business Association since 2018 and was elected chair in November 2023. Her passion lies in connecting people with purpose — and in shining a light on the vital role of mariners, operators, and the many others who power the maritime industry.
