About Our Events
Industry Interaction Days: Real Careers. Real Connections.
We Work the Waterways hosts Industry Interaction Days across the country to introduce students to meaningful careers in maritime, shipping, and logistics. These events bring classrooms out into the real world—where students interact with professionals, experience hands-on activities, and explore pathways that lead to high-demand, high-opportunity careers on and around the water.
Educators, please note, this is not a general field trip. In collaboration with local school systems, students are carefully selected based on their commitment to Career & Technical Education (CTE) pathways or four-year degree programs, and their interest in entering the maritime workforce. This includes students preparing for skilled trades careers on the water, as well as those pursuing professional pathways in logistics, supply chain management, business operations, and other support roles.
The Student Experience
Every Industry Interaction Day is designed to give students an immersive look into maritime careers through hands-on learning, face-to-face connections, and provide them with career exploration tools.
